Sleeve Trend - All Aboard!

I am so in love with sleeved wedding dresses. And such a trend for a feeling of romance and vintage history. Perfect example - Kate Middleton. Her Victorian lace sleeves just scream poise and class. Her regal gown was very reminescent of Grace Kelly when she married Prince Rainier. The super part about the dress is that those sleeves were removable for her reception! They were part of a lace overlay that sat on top of her gown, but it doesn't take a princess to wear this classic style - just someone who isn't afraid to step out of the typical strapless gown.

Long lace sleeves are not the only sleeve trend. Dainty cap sleeves are oh-so-cute (some removable as well). Look at this princess gown by Reem Acra!

DIY Centerpieces

Last weekend, Sarah and Rip chose red, black, and white as thier wedding colors. She was just beautiful with red roses in her bouquet! I wanted to share these photos with you because not all amazing and elegant centerpieces need to come from a florist or designer. They can easily be created from a photo and some due dilligence! Take a look at these awesome lanterns with 3 pillar candles inside. These were alternated with 3 stemmed, red votive holders of various heights. Both sat beautifully on top of whirled sheer fabric. Easy, relatively inexpensive, but so incredible! FYI - Sarah is looking to sell these to another blushing bride, so if you are intersted, let me know. Stay tuned for more tips and photos. Wittrock Wedding - 4/30/11

I'm back!

I know it's been close to FOREVER since I've posted, but it's only because I've been able to meet with so many of the wonderful brides and grooms for our 2011 and 2012 weddings!

On that note, I wanted to post a few dates that we still have left for 2011 --- we are filling up VERY fast, but always love to work with couples that have their hearts set on getting hitched in 2011!
